Savings
As a local credit union, each of AurGroup’s personal saving accounts is designed to satisfy your specific financial needs. We offer a variety of credit union savings accounts paying highly competitive dividends (or interest rates). Read more about our available credit union savings options in the Cincinnati, OH, area below.
Everyday Savings
An everyday savings account is your primary account. Your initial $5 deposit represents your share of ownership in the credit union. Once you have accumulated $100 on deposit, your dividends are paid monthly on the daily balance in the account.
Secondary Savings
Use these credit union savings accounts for a vacation, education, holiday expense, or whatever you choose. You can also nickname your savings account. Saving for a wedding? Name that account “Wedding”.
Holiday Club Account
Now you can save specifically for the holidays. Make deposits or automatic transfers to the account throughout the year. In October, your club deposits will automatically transfer to your regular savings account for withdrawal. Only use this account if you are serious about saving—withdrawals are not permitted until it is time for holiday shopping!
Dollar Dog Kids Account
All kids through the age of 12 can enroll in this credit union savings option today! A $5 initial deposit is all a kid needs to open a Dollar Dog Kids Account. For newborns to age six months who open an account, AurGroup will make the initial $5 deposit in the child's name. Kids Club members will receive a special membership card and a $5 deposit when they bring in the birthday card received from Dollar Dog. In addition, we offer exclusive kids club term share certificates, which only require a $250 minimum deposit.

Saving Method For Teens
Senior Savings
Members age 62+ can now enjoy even more benefits from their credit union. With an initial deposit of only $5, you can open a Senior Savings account. This account also offers a lifetime of benefits, including one free box of checks each year, a 50% discount on the first year's safety deposit box rental, earning a 1/4% higher rate on eligible term share certificates, and a 1/4% rate discount on most loans with direct deposit of social security, retirement benefits, or payroll checks.
Money Market Accounts
If you want to earn more on your money without locking it in for a set period, consider a Money Market Account with AurGroup. A Money Market Account (MMA) shares similar traits as a savings account or certificate of deposit but offers unique benefits:
Easy Access: Unlike a certificate of deposit, you can access the money in your MMA anytime. Knowing you can get the funds if needed gives you peace of mind.
Interest: These accounts typically earn a higher rate than a regular savings account.
Diversification of Assets: Don't put all your eggs in one basket. A MMA is an excellent way to mix up your savings strategy without taking on risk.
Money Market Account with AurGroup is a low-risk investment. Plus, every penny is insured. Each AurGroup account is insured up to $250,000 by American Share Insurance.
Term Share Certificates
As a supplement to credit union savings accounts, Share Certificates are a great way to maximize your earnings by investing your funds for a specific period. Various terms (3-60 months) are available with a minimum deposit of $500.
Jumbo Certificates are also available for balances of $100,000 and earn 1/4% higher interest on the term selected.
Dividends are paid monthly on the daily certificate balance. As with any certificate program, there are penalties for early withdrawal.
